Pricing and Payment Policies

1. Pricing: We offer professional cleaning at reasonable prices, and the cost may vary from the services, and from property to property. We usually visit the client’s house before the cleaning date so we can see what needs to be done, and the client’s priorities, and then agree on a flat rate. 

2. Rate Increases. We reserve the right to increase our rates and fees to cover expenses, but we will always notify our clients in advance of any such increases. 

3. Scheduling Preferences: All of our cleaners are trained to deliver a high-quality service. However, it is important to remember that everyone works differently and at their own pace. 

Except for monthly or occasional cleanings, Lavanda guarantees the scheduling of cleaning with the same cleaner on the same day and time. 

We always try our best to give our clients, plenty of notice of any changes made to their service, but some occasions are out of our control and may impact your service on the day booked, such as illnesses, emergencies, and public holidays. 

4. Rescheduling or Skipping a Single Cleaning: We understand that there are changes in schedules in our busy lives, so we ask you to please contact the office to make any changes. 

If this change does not affect the cleaner's schedule, they will go ahead. If your change clashes with the cleaner's schedule, we will get in touch with you to try and reach a solution that benefits all parties. 

Please note that any request will apply only to the date that you specify and will not alter future dates. If you need to change your entire recurring cleaning schedule, please contact our office. 

5. Cancellations and changes: You can cancel your service at any given time but please note that all our services are scheduled in advance, so late cancellations and changes deprive our cleaners of their income. If you cancel or reschedule a service less than 2 (two) Business Days before your originally scheduled date, you may incur a fee for the total cleaning cost to cover the cleaner’s loss of wage. 

If we can cover the cleaner’s time through reallocating work, we can sometimes waive this fee, but on occasion, the fee must be charged.

6. Lockouts: As well as late cancellations and changes, lockouts deprive our cleaners of their income. If you have not contacted us to cancel the service and the cleaner arrives at your home at the scheduled time and is unable to access it, we will charge the full cost of the cleaning to compensate the cleaner for their lost time. 

7. Happiness Guarantee: We want our service to make you happy! 

We appreciate all feedback we get, whether it is positive or negative. If you are dissatisfied with any of our cleaning services, please contact us with details regarding what may have been an issue and you can also include relevant photos. We will first assess the situation to make sure that we understand the concern, then will proceed with the necessary and aim to provide a re-clean within 2-5 business days of the initial date of service for any missed/unsatisfactory areas and/or look at an appropriate discount if required. 

If you are still not satisfied and Lavanda Cleaning is at fault, we will offer a refund or partial refund according to the circumstances. 

Please note that for us to offer a refund, we require that a re-clean must be accepted and completed within two business days from the initial date of service. 

8. Dependability Guarantee: We want you to be able to count on us. Our cleaners rarely arrive later than scheduled unless there is an unusual occurrence, in which case we will notify you as soon as possible. If the delay exceeds 15 minutes, please contact us on 0435 016 623 so we can investigate. 

In the unlikely event that we are not able to clean your home on the scheduled day due to a long delay or a failure in our system, the cleaning will be rescheduled to the nearest available date possible and we will give you 1 hour free of charge for the inconvenience. This is our Dependability Guarantee. 

9. Billing: You will receive an invoice within 1-2 business days. 

Any invoice that is not paid within 10 days will have a 10% fee added to the invoice amount. 

Invoices overdue by 30+ days or if 2 invoices are overdue at the same time, even if one/both are less than 30 days late, we will pause all scheduled services until payment is made. 

If your service is paused, you may lose your spot on the schedule. 

10. Tipping: It is never required to tip, but it is a lovely way to tell your cleaner that you think they did a great job. If you would like to tip your cleaner, you can add that amount to your payment and just let us know it has been done. If you prefer to give cash, we suggest that you clearly label it with the cleaner's name to make sure they know it is for them! 

11. Referrals: Regular clients (weekly/biweekly) will receive 01 (one) hour on their next cleaning service for referring each new customer (weekly/biweekly) to Lavanda Cleaning. This discount becomes effective after the referred customer’s second cleaning.

Breakage Policy 

Our professional cleaners do their best to protect your belongings, but we know that accidents sometimes happen despite all precautions. Therefore, we have developed a clear and fair policy to cover these incidents: 

Lavanda Cleaning is not responsible for damage due to faulty or improper installation of items. Please inform us of any items in your home that require this type of attention. 

We cannot accept responsibility for breakage due to objects that are inherently unstable or delicate, or inappropriately placed, such as top-heavy items with inadequate bases, improperly hung pictures, or wobbly objects. Such situations are regarded as accidents-in-waiting and may occur no matter how carefully our cleaners are working. 

Please contact us within 7 (seven) days to report any breakage/damage. 

We will review every incident of breakage on a case-by-case basis, so please save the broken item for our inspection. 

When a value is verifiable and breakage is clearly due to negligence on the part of a Lavanda Cleaning employee, we will reimburse the cost of any broken item up to AUD100.00 per item. Item values must be verified before replacement or reimbursement will be authorized. 

When appropriate, we will pay to have the broken item repaired instead of reimbursing the cost of the item. 

We reserve the right to review 3 estimates before agreeing to any remedies. 

We have noticed that the materials used in many window blinds can become brittle over time and may break while cleaning, or even while opening or closing them. Therefore we cannot accept any responsibility for damages to older blinds. If this is a risk you cannot accept, please let our office know which areas we should avoid and we will add it to your home details. 

Additionally, it is also noted that sealed wooden floors peel over time. Therefore, we cannot accept any responsibility for damage such as peeling old floors. 

Please move fragile, unstable, or expensive items to a location we do not clean, or ask us to skip that area completely if you do not wish to accept the risk of accidental damage.

Other Cleaning Policies 

1. Lavanda Cleaning Services is a quality professional cleaning service that is fully insured and bonded. 

2. Employee safety: Our professional cleaners are the heart of our business and their safety is extremely important to us. The areas to be cleaned must be accessible without excess clutter or hazardous conditions. Indoor temperatures must also be appropriate for them to work safely. For this reason, be aware that in warm weather, our cleaners may turn the air conditioning on and they will turn it off before they leave. 

3. No unfair solicitation of employees: At Lavanda Cleaning Services, we are proud of our wonderful employees and we invest a lot of time, money, and effort into recruiting, hiring, and training all of them. Our employment contract prohibits employees from accepting private work for Lavanda Cleaning clients unless Lavanda Cleanings is compensated with a finder fee of $2,500. We know that sometimes we love someone's job and do not want to lose them, but please do not solicit our employees for side jobs or direct hire outside of this contract. Not only does this place our employees in an awkward situation, but it is also unfair to our small business. If you attempt to solicit an employee for private hire without paying the required finder fee, all future services will be immediately terminated. 

4. Services We Do Not Offer: We specialise in cleaning your home effectively and efficiently, and we offer a wide array of cleaning services to suit many different needs. However, we do not offer: 

  • Shopping or errands outside the home. 

  • Cleaning behind glass or solid doors on shelving units or furniture (except if you move these items. 

  • Washing exterior windows or washing any interior windows that cannot easily be reached with a two-step ladder (except if you hire our professional window cleaning). 

  • Heavy lifting. Due to insurance restrictions, our cleaning technicians may not lift anything weighing more than 25 kg. 

  • Cleaning in areas that are difficult or unsafe to access. 

  • Cleaning of bodily fluids, pet waste, or other bio-hazards except for an ordinary level of bathroom cleaning. 

  • Cleaning heavily soiled areas or areas of disrepair, including rooms or homes with extreme dirt build-up, mould, mildew, peeling paint, or other unsafe conditions. If your home is in this condition, we can refer you to another company that can provide appropriate services. 

  • Cleaning extremely cluttered rooms or homes. Our cleaning technicians must be able to move freely and safely through your home with their tools and supplies. If your home is extremely cluttered, we can refer you to another company that can provide appropriate services. 

  • Cleaning excessive hard water or mineral stains or buildup. If you have areas of your home that have hard water or mineral buildup beyond what we can clean

  • with standard cleaning supplies and tools, we can refer you to another company that can provide appropriate services. 

  • Any cleaning that would require cleaning supplies or tools beyond what Lavanda Cleaning supplies. 

  • Professional cleaning inside dishwashers, washing machines, and dryers. 

5. For the safety of your children and pets, we ask that they be supervised while our staff and equipment are present in your home. 

6 . Please secure all pets that are dangerous to our employees inside and outside of your house. Lavanda Cleaning cannot be responsible for cleaning up after pets.
